YIN + NIDRA UNDER THE STARS
2nd Sunday of every month at The Beehive

If you find your flexibility or mobility isn’t improving much in your regular weekly Yang classes, Yin could help. By holding the postures for between 3-5 minutes each, this allows the fascia (muscle tissue) to be able to lengthen and release allowing you to settle into the pose. Yoga Nidra is the practice of yogic sleep, it's a guided meditation where you relax and listen to the sound of my voice. Like a super long Savasana! We do all this under a blanket of beautiful starlight (from my special projector).

Lots of comfy, cosy props are provided including blankets, bricks and maybe even bolsters! Fluffy socks and pillows/cushions are encouraged so bring them with you!

MANDALA YOGA
1st Saturday of every month at The Beehive

Mandala yoga is a dynamic practice which moves us around the mat 360 degrees. The practice is repetitive which allows practitioners to go into a meditative state during class. Starting and ending with a stunning Yin practice, this class is the perfect chance to balance out your yin and yang. Each class is based upon the element of the day as per the Mayan calendar. These specific elements also correspond with certain meridians (energy/qi channels) and areas of the body.
Earth: Hamstrings
Water: The Groin/inner leg
Air: Backbends
Fire: Twists
Each of the elements also has specific characteristics which we can embody throughout our practice.
